CD Montesinos 1 – CD El Campello 0
An exciting match took place at the Los Montesinos Municipal Field between CD Montesinos, second placed, and CD El Campello, fourth placed. Despite a questionable refereeing performance, the home team achieved a crucial 1-0 victory.
In the first half Montesinos dominated, playing his most impressive football in weeks. Ivo’s early goal set the tone, but inconsistent referee decisions spoiled the match. The referee seemed to favor the visiting team, calling out dubious fouls on Montesinos and overlooking clear infractions.
The second half was a different story, with El Campello gaining ground. However, Montesinos’ resolute defense, led by the exceptional Pablo, held firm. Unfortunately, the young Anderson was forced to leave the field due to a nasty foul that was inexplicably ignored by the referee.
Despite the difficulties, Montesinos managed to create scoring opportunities on the counterattack. Willy was unfortunately sent off after receiving two questionable yellow cards.
In the end, Ivo’s opening goal made the difference. The victory solidifies Montesinos’ position in the league and sets them up for a strong end to the year.
Man of the Match: Luis Carlos (No. 17) was outstanding, but the entire team deserves credit for their hard-fought victory.
Next game: CD Montesinos will travel to La Murada for their last game before the Christmas holidays. Date and time to be confirmed.
As the team prepares for its final game of the year, its goal is to finish the season on a high note.
