On Monday, the Raiders at Vistabella played the Albatross, with a very strong cold wind at first, which took away their home field advantage, but as the wind died down later in the game, conditions became more normal for Vistabella and therefore they were given the house. mat advantage. Of course, the company was warm despite the cold and we were all delighted to pop into a warm bar for refreshments.
The Albatroses took to the court 4-1. Sheila Cox, Judy Foley and Ron Greenstreet7-21. Val Ryder, Malc Sykes and Diane Yates 13-23. Rose Passmore, Derek Barker and Henry Ryder 15-12. Ann Abbott, Tony Abbott and Deckie Coleman 13-16. Jean Coleman, Dave Haynes and Marion Haynes 5-33.
On Wednesday, a wet and cold morning, the Rustlers were at home against St. Louis, one player down. The weather finally defeated the bowling and the game ended after 12 ends, the scores being:
Sheila Cox, Tony Abbott, Judy Foley and Deckie Coleman 5-10. Val Ryder, Derek Barker and Henry Ryder 4-15. Dave Haynes, Pam Harris, Brian Harris and Marion Haynes 5-18. Greenland Bowls with Pearl Houghton
Elms played San Miguel this week and put up a great fight, but it didn’t go as planned and they are afraid of losing 2 to 10, let’s hope the new year is better for you.
The Gladiators faced a tough Country Bowls team and didn’t do so well losing 4-8, so let’s hope the new year brings better results.
Chestnut bowled country and also lost 4-8, so better results are needed in the new year, which I’m sure will come.
The Premier League was played this week with Greenland once again against Country Bowls but this time the tables were turned in Greenland’s favor and they got a big victory winning 6 games to 2, so now forward to play against St. Louis who played very good against strong ones. Good luck to the opponents in the next game.
I would like to wish the Leader a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
