They come to Spain for the sun and the heat, they said. Driving towards Las Colinas, we simultaneously said “Is that frost?” An early departure time was threatened with an hour delay due to heavy frost, which caused a bit of chaos and latecomers found out about the proposed later departure times, but we all left on time and were turned into a really beautiful winter day.
It soon became apparent that the Greenkeeper had either gotten up on the wrong side of the bed or clearly thought it was April 1st.street with pin positions and yellow tees. Certain holes played very differently than the yellow tee positions today, which made for some interesting scores. The course was, as usual, in very good condition.
A few empty spaces today with 45 bundled up golfers getting going, shedding layers of clothing as the day grew warmer. And today’s scores were *drumroll*:
The scores say a lot about the iffy pin positions today…enough said about that.
The “Two” pot was divided between Paul Lambert, Mike Stott and Mike Stott (yes, two of two). Closest to the Pins this week were Peter Spinks, Paul Lambert, Roger Webb, Issy Wiggins-Turner and Mike Stott. Ken Flaherty took the pot of football cards with Bolton the winning team.
