Full player ratings from the match below:
Thibaut Courtois—5.5: They will be disappointed to concede two goals in this match, especially the second, with a shot that hit the near post.
Lucas Vázquez—8.5: He sent a magnificent cross to Mbappé at the near post that the Frenchman failed to convert. He found a lot of space on the right flank and Muzambo rarely followed him. Shortly after, he wasted his own chance inside the six-yard box following a brilliant pass from Bellingham. He did register an assist with a brilliant cut-back to Rodrygo in the center of the area. Everything seemed to go well for the right back today, it was one of his best games of the season.
Tchouaméni—6: Isaac Romero lost track of the conceded goal. The faint from behind was sharp and measured.
Rüdiger—7: The long ball distribution was perfect, with 8/10 long balls completed.
Eduardo Camavinga—8: He played as a left back and thrived. He had a line clearance, an assist, a blocked shot and seven complete tackles.
Dani Ceballos—7: He continues his good form with another start in midfield. He made a number of important sliding tackles and did the dirty work invisible to the team.
Fede Valverde—8: The Uruguayan’s ability to score spectacular goals from long distance is unparalleled. He scored his fifth goal from outside the area this season.
Judas Bellingham—7: Despite not scoring or assisting, he contributed greatly with his defensive work, off-ball offensive runs, and his ability to escape pressure while on the ball.
Brahim—8: He scored an excellent goal after a meeting with Mbappé. He played in the first three positions and impressed with his ability in tight spaces.
Rodrygo—8: He played on the left wing with Vini suspended. He finished the game with a goal (three goals in his last three games) and an assist. He should have scored the second after an excellent cutback by Mbappé, but his shot was tame and straight at the goalkeeper.
Kylian Mbappé—8.5: Little by little, Mbappé is regaining confidence. He scored a great goal with a shot from outside the area to open the scoring in the first 10 minutes of the game. He later provided an assist to Brahim after starting the play with a sequence of dribbles around the top of the area. He is not at his best yet, as he could have scored three or four goals in this match, but there are encouraging signs.
Substitutions:
Luka Modric—6: They played the last 20 minutes with circulating possession but had problems in physical duels.
Arda Güler—6: He drifted from the right wing into central positions and showed his passing range with a long-distance ball.
Raúl Asensio—5: He played right back and was slow to release the ball. He recovered the field with the second goal conceded.
