On January 2, Real Madrid has announced the arrival of Brazilian defender Yasmim Ribeiro. The 28-year-old defender signs for Las Blancas with a two year contract.
Yasmim left Corinthians from São Paulo to join the white club in the winter transfer market. La Relevo had already announced Ribeiro’s arrival at the beginning of December when the signing was supposedly finalized. At the beginning of the winter transfer window, the club released the official announcement that the Brazilian has passed her medicals and joined the team for the next two years.
Yasmim is primarily a left-back who came in to get rid of Olga after having to play a ridiculous amount of minutes this season for both club and country. At the 2024 Summer Olympics, Yasmim won silver with Brazil alongside Antonia Silva. The 28-year-old player is a fast, physical and offensive-oriented left back who comes to reinforce the Real Madrid squad and fight for a place in the starting eleven.
“Being here, in this club, is phenomenal. The club and what this shirt ‘weighs’ speaks for itself. “I am very happy to have this opportunity.” yasmin He speaks for Real Madrid TV. “Yes, I think that Real Madrid and Brazil make a perfect combination, I think the entire history of the club and all the players who have passed through here made it clear. “I want to continue representing my country in the best way possible.”
Yasmim is the fourth non-EU player to join the team, after Weir, Antonia and Linda, and remember that the F League will allow a maximum of five non-EU players over the next two seasons, equal to the duration of their current contract.
