Captain’s Tough Talk
Luka Modrić: “We lost, that’s all, you can’t always win. It’s never easy to lose against your biggest rival, but if we have to lose a trophy during the season, we’d rather lose this one, the Super Cup.” pic.twitter.com/47LN4X7pLq

Harsh words from the club captain, Luka Modric, who faced the media with combative words. The performance was pathetic and you have to agree with Luka that if we are going to lose a trophy in 2025, it might as well be the super cup.
Mbappé continues to improve
Ancelotti: “Only today I save Mbappé.”

The Frenchman was the only bright spark in Real Madrid’s performance. I should have had at least one brace on another night. The goals will always be there for Mbappé, it will always be a question of how many.
Deeply beaten
Another nod to Barça. Better in every way, by far.
Painfully clueless offense from Real Madrid. The entire attack plan has been waiting for one of the forwards to pull off a moment of individual brilliance against a Barcelona defense with infinitely better…

Carlo’s Real Madrid tends to improvise. When we win, everyone forgives, but when we lose… Real Madrid seems untrained because it is not trained. The team’s talent may bail Carlo out, but eventually the lack of discipline and structure will catch up with you. It’s not just about the Clásico, but we have fought against decent opponents all season.

We should win all 6 games comfortably, but we will suffer for some reason because LV plays against RB or some silly reason like that. The idea that Real Madrid could have problems in any of those matches due to lack of resources is grounds for dismissal or for the coach, much less for the absurd argument itself.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
The classic humiliations are not isolated incidents. Carlo Ancelotti himself has admitted that he is not so eager to train players. Real Madrid signs the best young players for a coach who wants the players to go out on the field and solve everything. Almost every game is difficult for the team and equally difficult to watch. Nobody is asking for rigid positional football, but at least train the players so we can see that they are learning from previous games. Our players do not lack self-confidence. If anything, they have so much that they feel incredulous, like they can’t believe they are surpassing them.
