Back at the Giant Golf Ball’s house, the smell of Christmas turkey has finally left our nostrils. A later start meant it was a little less cool than the previous week and how the sun came out to warm our slightly cushioned bones after the festive excess made the day very pleasant.
The improvement work continues at Lo Romero, only to improve it and the environment with great sympathy. Very well maintained, considering its heavy use, the greens were tricky and fast, especially with any downhill undulation. Thanks to Matí and his team for a great day.
Another full field today, coming out on that road that falls from left to right, keep it left or face the consequences!
Scores on the doors today:
Gold: Kyrre Skårsmoen (39 points)
Silver: Stephen Locke (38 points)
Bronze: Jimmy Skelly (40 points and best score of the day)
Today’s “Two” jackpot was divided between Phil de Lacy, Paul Lambert, Jim Imrie and Andrew Jones – not a bad pot to win. Closest to the Pins this week were Andrew Jones, Roddy Duncan, Stephen Locke and Phil de Lacy. The best guest with 31 points was Peter Spinks.
Next week we return to Las Colinas where we always enjoy their hospitality and the countryside in general.
Leave the responsibility of getting a photo to someone else and (well, I knew the risks!), we have a Mötley Crüe without much relevance to the actual first place winners!! However, this lineup includes quite a few former captains! Pictured left to right: Phil de Lacy (former captain), Lee Eastman (current captain) – ehmmm….. we have “Little & Large” in the middle, Paul Guest (behind the middle, not a guest real and third in Gold.!), Tony Smale (Ex-Captain, center forward) and finally “BTB”, Barry Roehrig (yes, another Ex-Captain and Honorary President, right winger; to be fair, he came second in Gold).
