Real Madrid will play its second final in the history of the women’s team at the same venue as the Copa de la Reina final in May 2023. This time, El Clásico awaits in the final of Spanish Women’s Super Cup 2025.
Barcelona are the back-to-back SuperCup champions for the last 3 years and Las Blancas will try to end their streak this weekend. It would be the White Club’s first trophy, as well as the first El Clásico victory if they manage to defeat the defending champions. Real Madrid have qualified for the finals by beating Real Sociedad 3-2, and Barcelona beat Atlético de Madrid 3-0 in the first semi-final match.
“It’s a great game for the fans. It’s also good for us, to compete, it’s a final. We haven’t played too many games like this, so let’s enjoy ourselves and try to play well. We are excited and eager to organize a good display. I think we have the ability and I’m sure we’ll see a good show,” Alberto Toril He speaks at the pre-match press conference before the super cup final.
It is a full squad for the final despite Melanie Leupolz not being considered unavailable to play due to a knee injury sustained in the semi-final. Having the full team present at a final with a medal ceremony is standard practice.
Kick-off is Sunday, January 26 at 12:00 CET (6 am ET) on Butarque Municipal Stadium. The broadcast will be available to watch for free on LA 2 (RTVE.ES) with VPN.
