Full player ratings from the match below:
Thibaut Courtois-7: He made two great saves early on against Raphinha. There was little he could do about the goals conceded.
Lucas Vázquez — 1: Torn by Raphinha, especially because of the Brazilian’s movement without the ball. Substituted early in the second half.
Aurélien Tchouaméni — 2: He is simply not a center back. He struggled to follow the movement of Lewandowski and Raphinha, often standing still rather than aggressively covering his mark or space. Too slow to play as a center back for Real Madrid.
Antonio Rüdiger — 5: He lost his composure when Madrid began to concede goals. Gavi and Lamine Yamal were too fast for him to handle.
Ferland Mendy — 5.5: He had moments of solid defense against Lamine Yamal, but struggled at times when the teenager attacked too easily. He didn’t offer anything in the final third.
Eduardo Camavinga — 3: A bad performance: he gave away the penalty and was lucky not to be sent off in the first half for two yellow card infringements.
Fede Valverde — 5: His long-distance passing was below average and he struggled playing in a double pivot with Camavinga.
Rodrygo—5.5: He worked hard defensively but occasionally lost track of running backs. He scored a goal from a free kick, but wasted a great opportunity early in the second half with a volley that could have created positive momentum.
Vinícius Junior — 4: Too individualistic: He often tried to take on the defenders alone without success.
Judas Bellingham – 5: Very quiet, he seemed to be playing with a muscle strain.
Kylian Mbappé – 8.5: The only bright spot in an otherwise bleak match. He won 11 duels (the team’s highest), completed 8 of 9 dribbles and scored an excellent solo goal. He also set up Bellingham late in the game with a brilliant roulette heel pass. One of his best performances with the Madrid shirt.
Substitutions:
Raúl Asencio — 6: Solid. He had an early falling out with Lewandowski but was rarely tested after Barcelona were reduced to 10 men.
Brahim-4: He played on the left wing but contributed very little.
Dani Ceballos—5: He had plenty of time on the pitch but failed to make an impact against a 10-man Barcelona side.
Luka Modric – 5: Like Ceballos, he struggled to break down Barcelona’s defense.
Fran García — 6: A late change that delivered a couple of decent crosses and brought energy to the game.
