Happy New Year from MM Mods
Dear reader,
On behalf of the Mods, I would like to say Happy New Year / Happy 2025 to the TakingMadrid Community!!! It has been an honor to continually publish DT and serve and support this ever-growing community. If we reflect on last year, we can say that it has been a turbulent but exciting year for all Madrid fans. We have suffered together from a bad game, poor team management, anterior cruciate ligament injuries, Kylian Mbappé transfer rumors, theft of the Ballon d’Or, non-existent tactics, the usual 15 minutes in which Real Madrid plays terribly and inopportune interviews with Rodrygo. However, we stuck together and the team continues to persevere to win the UCL, La Liga, UEFA Super Cup, Spanish Super Cup and Intercontinental Cup during this calendar year. We have been spoiled with simply brilliant moments (e.g. Joselu v. Bayern, Rodrygo v. City, Andriy Lunin Penalties, Jude Bellingham in El Clásico, Dani Carvajal in Dortmund, Vini Vini Vini and the Kylian Mbappé announcement). MM, it really has been a good year and I hope we can continue these more optimistic feelings in the future.
Personally, I am excited for the year 2025. It looks like this will be a new era for Real Madrid as we truly turn to the team’s bright youth. It seems that the time has finally come for Camavinga to make the leap to be classified as world class. It seems Rodrygo is determined to ensure the world never forgets the “R.” Kylian Mbappé seems prepared to assume the galactic legacy. Jude + Vini seem ready to etch their names in football history. 2025 seems to potentially mark the true turning point for Madrid. Now, is there likely to be suffering along the way? Absolutely. It is in our DNA to suffer periodically. But who knows? It just seems like, no matter what happens, we’ll eventually see the light at the end of the tunnel… and maybe that light includes a British RB… a Canadian… and The Red Beard coming home?!
Anyway, happy new year. It’s never too late to start over.
Health,

TAA Quick News
Imminent. This is practically all the news today. I’ll be brief because it’s vacation and I have 20 other things I need to do lmao. TAA is coming. It just feels like it’s coming. It may not be in January but it may be in summer. Ivatar was right. You also know it’s real when Carragher acts like all hope is lost.
The most important thing for @LFC in 2025 it is winning the #PremierLeague
No one’s contract or future should come in the way of this!
I love Trent as a boy and as a player, but his team would have told Real Madrid to submit an offer and would also have known that LFC would reject it.
