England prepares to defend the Mima Cup in Pinatar Arena

England will defend the trophy they won in 2024

Eight national female teams will meet in San Pedro del Pinatar for the next edition of the Mima Cup.

From February 9 to 16, the U-17 women’s teams in England, Mexico, Canada, Sweden, Scotland and the Czech Republic will compete in Pinatar Arena, while Hungary and Ireland will begin the event with a double header.

England’s U-17 female team are the current headlines that defeat Scotland 5-0 in the final of last year.

The competition continues to be a significant event in the development of women’s young football talent, providing teams with valuable international experience and exhibition.

Before the Mima Cup, two friendly matches between Hungary and the U-17 Ireland women’s teams will take place at Pinatar Arena on February 5 and 11.

The presence of these teams is expected to generate more than 1,500 hotels reserves in San Pedro del Pinatar during the tournament week.

Thanks to years of dedicated efforts, Pinatar Arena has been established as a key international center for women’s football. The Mima 2025 Cup will serve as a prelude to the prestigious Copa Costa Pinatar Cup, which will run from February 19 to 26.

This high profile tournament, with Senior and U-19 categories, will welcome teams such as Canada, Mexico, China and Chinese Taipei, among others.
